I took a 3000 mile road trip

This trip was exactly what I needed, and sparked the flame that now has me planning weekend trips and christmas break trips to see more. We had a ball. And it went almost completely smooth (we just got trapped in the sand once, avoided a few accidents, we're still kicking) I could probably write pages on the thoughts I have about the trip. How it taught me things I didn't know I needed to know until I encountered them, and would have never known if I hadn't taken this trip. Like I love where I live. I had to leave to know that Kansas City was home. Which throws a wrench in life plans and goals, but I am figuring it out. I didn't just decide to love Kansas city by comparison to the places we visited. I would love to visit those same places a million times more. They were beautiful and great and I wish we could've traveled for a month instead of a week. But the feeling of familiar, of home, of comfort, it really warmed my heart. Arriving back to mundane work and cat care- and most importantly- the people I love, wasn't so bad. I think that's important. I wont ramble any longer. This is a photo space not a rambling space. I'll ramble about it for the rest of forever.

One roll of photos were developed weird- split images. I was mad at first, but it is kind of a good accident. And if I lay them on the floor in a line I can see each image.. sort of. I used expired film for surprise light flares and surprise colors. It's fun that way.

Included here are pictures beginning in our Breaking Bad tour in Albuquerque NM, the Petrified Forest, the Grand Canyon, and Jim Bishop's Castle in Colorado. Travel Q's always happy to answer
